Choosing a Disposable

The vape game has come a long way in the past five or so years. After the massive wave of box mods and closed pods, there was something new and different that no one was expecting to take over, disposable vapes. Disposable vapes have been around for quite some time, and were actually some of the first E-cigarettes to hit the market. These were quite literally cigarette shaped vapes that tried to resemble the overall hit and feel of a cigarette draw. We’ve come a long way since then, with disposables coming in such a wide variety of options. This can be a little overwhelming, especially when so many different types of devices have similar flavors. Today we’re going to be looking at the things you should consider when choosing your next disposable vape.
#1 - Flavor
This one may seem obvious, but with disposable vapes, there are a wide variety of flavors available to choose from that aren’t always available in traditional freebase or salt nic e-liquid. For example, flavors like Gusto Green Apple in the flavor beast or Peach Pineapple Ice in the Mr Fog aren’t available in our freebase or salt nic, so these will be completely different flavor profiles. Disposables still pack fantastic flavors, but it's always good to know what you’re purchasing.
#2 - Battery life/Puff Count
As the device type suggests, disposables have a predetermined battery life. This is based on the type or size of battery preinstalled in your disposable device. Personally, I’ve noticed that the battery life of a disposable device is a better way to gage the lifespan than the E-liquid capacity. In order for that juice to be vaped, your battery needs to be active. If your battery dies before all that juice runs out. Then you’re kind of out of luck.
For example, the Envi Apex has an 1100mah battery with 6ml of liquid whereas the Vice has 6.5ml with a 1000mah battery. Despite the Vice having a little bit more E-liquid, it may die out a tad quicker than the Apex would. On top of this, many disposables are now rechargeable! Devices like our Pop Grip or our Flavour Beasts use Usb type C charging so you can keep those devices puffing right down to the last drop of juice. Puff counts are also an easy way to tell how long a device lasts. Although you likely won't be counting your puffs, it is still a good way to know what to expect from your device.
#3 - Type of hit
The thing that separates disposables the most is probably the type of hit that each delivers. For example, many users have said to notice a more intense hit in a device like a Ghost Mega or very smooth hits on devices like the Vice 2500. Every user is going to like a different type of puff that caters to their specific needs. Devices like the Mr Fog have adjustable airflow directly on the device so you have the freedom of playing around with it until you find the hit that is perfect for you.
#4 Price
When comparing disposables to open pod systems to disposables, you may notice that disposable devices can get a little pricey when you're buying them consistently.
